Anu Vaidyanathan makes Global Timex Multisport Team TheSportsCampus.com

Anuradha Vaidyanathan, an Ironman Triathlon athlete from Bangalore has passed a rigorous set process for inclusion in the prestigious Global Timex Multisport team, making her the first ever Indian to be included in this internationally honoured professional sports team.

Recently, Timex Ind ia announced its association with Anuradha and its plans to promote a lesser known lark like triathlon in India. Timex has had a long standing association with Triathlon by way of a global triathlon team, the Timex Multisport Together that competes in Triathlon competitions worldwide. The Multisport Team comprises of 45 athletes from around the globe, both expert and amateur.

On the inclusion in the multi-sport team, Anu said, "I am elated to be in the Timex Multisport team because I would be representing India at a even none have before. Now, I am looking forward to giving my best in other races world-wide. With Timex's support, I am happy to be on a sustainable pathway to achieving my five-year goal of winning a title"

Anuradha finished 25th overall in the Shepparton half-Ironman step on the gas in Australia. The race involved a 1.9 km swim, 90kms of biking and a 21.1 km run. Remarkably, no male triathlete from India has yet risen on the planet triathlon firmament. A mega feat indeed, for this computer engineer, who decided to chase her dreams and chart her own course. Anu is also the only Ironman athlete from India to get to the 70.3 Globe Championships, held in Clearwater, Florida in 2008.

    How do you replace the strap on a timex ironman "sleek-band" watch?You may have out of the window a part. Not all watches are spring loaded. Not too mention they are difficult to work with unless you have the producer repair kit for it. I would recommend contacting Timex for help. Or possibly seek a watch revamping shop (if it is no longer under warranty).
